Fun at Emma Krumbees!

Kevin, Leo and I spent a beautiful fall Sunday at Emma Krumbees apple orchard. There were so many fun things to do!!! We picked apples and raspberries, saw the scarecrows, played on the playset, rode on the tractor, sat on the horses, played in a kids band, rode on the train and ate lots of treats!!! Leo loved every minute of it. He ate so many apples and raspberries we hardly had any to bring home! Kevin and I are really trying to soak up every minute we have with Leo before the baby arrives. We know that things will change and our alone time with Leo will be significantly less so we are really cherishing every minute we have as a family of 3.

Fall Fun!

We had our good friends, the Meyer's, over last weekend for a bonfire. Claire and Leo are 6 months apart and had a good time roasting marshmallows and eating chocolate! It was a really nice night and everyone was up late!

Leo and I have been to the Arboretum a lot lately. It is such a beautiful place to walk around. Leo loves the fountains and the twig house. I can't wait for the leaves to be in full fall bloom

There are so many fun fall activities to do. We have so much on our list beofre little brother arrives!!! Only one month to go!

Go Vikings!

Leo loves football. He will sit and watch it and loves to yell TOUCHDOWN! We had my family over last Sunday to watch the game. Everyone was in purple and ready to cheer on the Vikes. We had Chili, Grilled Cheese and Cookies. A perfect afternoon of watching football, now only if they could win a game...

Buddies

Our next door neighbors have a little boy who is 3 weeks younger than Leo. His name is Logan and he and Leo have become good buddies! The have so much fun playing together. Leo waits for Logan's mom's car to drive in the driveway and then he runs over and wants to play right away. It is so fun to watch them interact together. I think they will be buddies for a long time!

The State Fair

Growing up, our family went to the Fair every year. I loved going to the Fair, it was something I looked forward to every summer. When Kevin and I started dating, we went to the Fair together, only missing the years I was at KU and couldn't make it back. The first year Leo was born, we left him home but he came with us last year and this year. We went on Saturday late afternoon and it was a perfect night for the Fair. It was relatively cool outside with a nice breeze- perfect weather for a pregnant lady to walk around outside for hours! Leo"s favorites at the Fair were: the tractors at Machinery Hill, the "no top car" ride in the Midway, the animal barns, the giant pretzel dipped in cheese, Sweet Martha's cookies and the swing band. My favorites were eating everything in sight (footlong hotdog, cheese curds, roasted corn, chocolate malt, and sweet Martha's) and watching Leo love every minute of the fair! Well almost every minute...we had one small mis-hap at the trampoline ride. Leo insisted on "jumping high" on the ride. So we bought the $5 ticket and waited for over a half an hour in line. Leo was very patient and was so excited to jump. However, he apparently changed his mind when we got up to the front and he realized that he had to wear the harness to jump on the tramp. He wanted nothing to do with the harness and started screaming. So, we left,$5 ticket unused. Live and learn!!! We love the fair so much that we are actually going back this week with Ammie and Papa!!!
