Fall Fun!

I can't believe that it is already 9:00 on Sunday night...Where did the weekend go?! Friday night our friends the Meyer's came over to celebrate Brian passing the Bar exam. They brought their 9 month old darling daughter Claire. On Saturday we went to a fall party at our friends house and Leo played with Henry (10 months) who dressed up as a chicken and Lily (1 year) who was a sunflower. We had a great time catching up with friends and watching the kids play in their costumes (great entertainment!) On Sunday we left the house only to go to Target. My parents stopped by on their way home from pheasant hunting in South Dakota. My Dad brought a pheasant feather home for Leo! It was a relaxing weekend and it was great to spend time with friends.

One year ago today...

One year ago today our lives changed forever when we found out that we were pregnant. I will never forget the moment I found out and the moment I told Kevin. We were so excited, scared, and overjoyed. It has been an amazing year and we are so blessed to have little Leo in our lives. The picture I posted is of Kevin and the onesie I gave him to tell him the good news. Wow, I can't believe that this wonderful journey started one year ago...

Rolling Over!

Leo rolled over for the first time this weekend! He was playing on his lion mat while we were getting his bath ready and all of a sudden he started rolling to his side and then he went all the way to his tummy! Way to go Leo!

Pumpkin Patch!

Leo took his first trip to the pumpkin patch today! It was a cool but sunny fall day. We chose a small pumpkin for him, a medium size one for me and a big pumpkin for Kevin. It was a great day!

Update...

Friday, October 9th was Molly and Michael's 23rd birthday. Leo and I were lucky enough to celebrate with Molly by going out for lunch. Michael was in Dallas, so we had to send him a special birthday message. It's hard to believe that the babies are 23!

Leo has been very interactive lately and smiling like crazy! It is fun to watch him reach for toys, find his hands, coo and talk and cuddle with his "taggies"(the little blankets a few people made him when he was born.) He is such a joy!

I went back to work for two mornings this week. I subbed for a co-worker who was out of town. It was fun to see all of my previous students and friends. Although I had a good time, I couldn't wait to get back to see Leo. It made me realize how blessed I am to be home with him.

Leo's First Fort

Every Saturday and Sunday, Leo and dad head downstairs to let mom catch up on some well needed sleep. Most mornings we watch The Bourne Ultimatum on HBO, but it wasn't on today so we built a fort.

Happily Ever After...

Kevin and I spent the past weekend in St.Louis for our good friends, Mary and Adam's, wedding. Mary and I met our first day of college, joined Pi Phi together and lived together throughout our time at KU. Adam and Kevin were friends throughout Jr. High and High School and played hockey together. Mary and Adam were both in our wedding, she was a bridesmaid and he was a groomsman. They met one another the night of our wedding and began dating soon after. They fell in love and got engaged in January. They asked Kevin and I to be in their wedding and we were honored to stand up with them on their big day. They are such a perfect match and we are so happy for them as they begin their life as husband and wife.

We had a great time in St. Louis! It was so fun to see old friends and celebrate with everyone. The wedding was amazing and Mary looked BEAUTIFUL! We know that they will have a very happy life with one another.

We left little Leo home with Grammy and Gramps for the weekend. It was so hard for us to leave him but we knew it was the best option for everyone. My mom and dad loved spending time with him and I know he enjoyed being with them. I tried not to call home too often to check on him, but it was the first time I have left him for more than a couple of hours! Luckily they sent me frequent text updates and picture messages. We are so thankful that they were able to take care of him, we really appreciate all of their help!

We've had a BUSY couple of weeks and we plan to be home for awhile now. We are hoping to make it to the pumpkin patch this weekend!
