The MN Zoo!

Leo and I went to the zoo with Ammie and Papa last week. We had so much fun! Leo loved looking at all of the animals and it was wonderful to have Ammie and Papa there to hold him up and carry him through the exhibits so he could see the animals. He loved the Farm portion of the zoo and couldn't get enough of the horses and cows. He also LOVED the special Alligator Apple Juice and chocolate malt that Papa bought for him! What a lucky little boy!!!

Summer Fun!

After months of planning, working, waiting, and growing, our yard, landscaping and fire pit are finished! We are very happy with how everything turned out and are excited to have a yard to play in and enjoy. We had our first fire in the fire pit on Friday night. Can you tell how excited Leo was?! He stayed up way past his bedtime and had a great time sitting by the fire and eating s'mores. After we put him down, our neighbors came out to enjoy the night with us. We had a great time chatting and relaxing by the fire. We are hoping to have many more fires this fall!

The Arboretum with Mimi!

Kathy had some time off last week so we met her at the Arboretum to walk around and have lunch! It was a beautiful day and the flowers were so bright and full. Leo loved playing in the fountains and "washing his car" in the water. What a fun morning!

Art Projects!

Leo has been really interested in painting and gluing lately. Since it has been so hot out and I am giant pregnant, it is nice to do some indoor activities every once in awhile. One day we painted with trucks to make tracks and another day we worked on gluing. We read the book The Very Busy Spider and made our own "itsy bitsy" for the play room. We are working on "baby dots" with the glue bottle but huge glue puddles are really more fun!

Carver County Fair and 31 weeks

We took Leo to the Carver County Fair on Sunday and had so much fun! We started out looking at the animals and then checked out the tractors and then went to the parade. I have never been to the CCF parade before so I didn't know what to expect but it was amazing! Over 2 hours of trucks, "no top cars" (convertibles), animals, music and LOTS of CANDY!!! Leo loved every second of the parade and watched for the entire 2 hours. After it was over, we were planning on heading home to give him a nap, but of course he remembered that we told him he could go on the rides. So, we went back into the fair and rode the rides- cars, a bus, and a boat. What more could a little boy ask for!!!

We went to the fair last year and took a picture of Leo in the big tractor tire...We amazingly got him to pose in the same tire this year. Can you believe how much he has changed. Time is going way too fast!!!

I had my 31 week appointment today. The doctor said I am right on track to deliver close to my due date, October 17th. Baby is healthy and growing big! I am feeling very pregnant and ready to meet the little man. It is getting harder to play on the floor with Leo, carry him up the stairs, find a spot on my shrinking lap for him to sit, and run after him. Although I am slowing down, Leo is still a full fledged toddler with LOTS of energy!!! I am excited for him to meet his little brother!

A weekday with Dada

On Monday, Kevin had a small break between surgeries so he called us to meet him in St. Paul! We met at the Choo Choo Bob's Train Store where Leo loved watching the trains and playing at the train tables. Then we went for a quick lunch at Bread and Chocolate where Leo got a giant M and M cookie- his two favorite foods combined together! I got the best chocolate chip cookie I have ever had! Then we walked down to the Red Balloon Book Store and Leo got a new book about Garbage Trucks, another favorite! It was a fun way to spend some time with Dada during the week!
