The Zoo

Kevin and I took Leo to the MN Zoo on Sunday afternoon. It was a beautiful day and we wanted to be outside so we thought we would try the Zoo. I guess other people had the same idea because it was PACKED!!! There were strollers and kids EVERYWHERE!!! Leo loved all of the commotion and excitement. I think he enjoyed looking at all of the kids and listening to all of the sounds more than he liked seeing the animals. At one point Kevin was trying to show Leo the otters and he looked down and Leo was busy playing with the zipper on his jacket...Oh well, whatever makes you happy! We decided to get a membership so we will be back, maybe on a weekday when it's a little less busy...

COUSINS!!!

Leo is so excited to finally have a cousin, he already loves Ellie so much! We went over to Jenny and Tobys on Friday night for dinner. It was great to spend time with the whole family. Ellie is so sweet and small I just love cuddling with her! Jenny and Toby are doing great and Bill and Kathy are loving having two grandkids!

9 Months!

Leo was 9 months old on the 4th. Wow, where has the time gone. He is at such a fun stage. Leo loves to...laugh, giggle, smile, talk (ma, ba), eat (baby food, avocado, cottage cheese, tofu, toast, puffs, yogurt, spaghetti, and anything he can get his hands on), swing at the park, go for walks, bounce and jump, scoot backwards, play with toys, look at books, dance to music, go to school, swim in the pool and the tub, entertain a crowd, be with his family and give high-fives. Everyday I see more and more little boy and less and less little baby. He is such a sweet kid, we couldn't love him more!

Go Twins!

We went to the twins pre-season game on Saturday afternoon at the new Target Field. It was amazing! Our friends Mary and Adam were in town and we went with them to our first game at the new outdoor stadium. The weather was perfect, the food was delicious, the stadium was beautiful and the company was great. It was so fun to spend the day outside watching Twins baseball. We loved spending time with Mary and Adam who we only get to see every couple of months. We also had the pleasure of meeting their new puppy, Lady, a French Bulldog. She is darling!!! I can't wait to go to another game, GO TWINS!

Welcome to the world Eliana!

Jenny and Toby had their baby on Sunday night, a little girl named Eliana (Ellie). She is beautiful! She is so small and delicate. Kevin and I went to the hospital on Monday to visit the proud parents and meet our new niece. She is precious. We are so happy for them as they begin this amazing journey. Congratulations!!!

Easter

We had a great day celebrating Leo's first Easter! We started our day by finding Leo's Elmo Easter basket. He loved all of the goodies inside! Then we met my family at Westwood Church and enjoyed a great service of singing and worship. Then on to the Nelson's for Easter dinner and more Easter basket fun! Leo got lots of new toys, thanks Easter Bunny! We went on 2 walks and spent the afternoon eating and relaxing. It was so fun to celebrate Leo's first Easter.

We are waiting to celebrate Easter with the Allen's until after Baby Rasmusson is born, which will be soon!!! As I type this, Jenny is in labor and will hopefully have the baby today or tomorrow. We can't wait to hold that little bundle of joy!!!
